ACM Awards
Hey you guys, you probably heard that Thompson Square got the duo award.. I have read a few comments on twitter and you guys harsh words and complaining isn't going to help anything... We are known for being the best fans, lets not change to the angriest fans who throw a fit when something doesn't go our way. J&K have taken a lot of hits this past year with 8.13 and then the journalist and now the big award. We just need to keep supporting them and loving them, and show the world how great Sugarland's fans are, lets represent!

As much as we love Sugarland showing hatred to others is not the answer. I am sure KB and Jen would agree. It's not about the awards but the music and how their music makes us feel (it would be nice if they won everytime but its all good if they don't). I am only 13 and have been a fan since my first concert in 2006 and will being seeing them till they stop performing no matter they win an award or not.....in this world its best to be happy for others no matter what and I am sure Jennifer and Kristian feel the same!!

I just don't feel like they've reached the level that SUgarland is on. I said this a while back on a different web page and I'll say it again now. I would love to see (a) what the requirements are to be nominated for an award (especially ETOY), and (b) how the voting is done not only for the nominations, but for the winners as well. More importantly, I was i could find out just what the voters were thinking about when they selected Thompson Square over Sugarland. Let's face it, the Acdemy knew there was going to backlash over this (which is why an award that is usually given during the broadcast was awarded the night before) and tried, unsuccessfully I might add, to avoid it by privately giving the award to Thompson Square.
I am in 100% agreement with Sheri23, but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to change the outcome today and we just have to live with it. What we can do is make sure that this new tour is one to remember for everybody, and when/if they announce a new album, we buy it up and call in to the radio stations requesting any and all new singles as much as we can. If we do, perhaps we can make the upper echelon of the industry sit up and take notice of this amazing band that we all love and support.

For the record, I too love Jennifer and Kristian, and they would not want or wish for negative vibes to be going out from anyone. Be disappointed people, but it's just a shiny trophy and Jennifer herself has said that she has so many she doesn't know where to put them. lol

Yes. I agree. Remember its one award that Sugarland lost to but it doesn't mean they keep lose every award from now on. I will admit that I was very angry, but being angry isn't gonna make things better. It just hurts more people. Remember fans, it will be alright again.

It's not that I don't like Thompson Square-- I certainly do. I have their album and enjoy their music. But in my book, they don't really come close to Sugarland at this point.
I think what has people upset is not the fact that SL didn't win, but WHY they didn't win. A lot of people think the negative press they've gotten lately is why they didn't get the award. Now no one knows for sure that's why they didn't win, but it makes you wonder.
They're still #1 with me and always will be.
