Sugarland returning to Indiana for free concert October 28th

Fri, Oct 7, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of country duo Sugarland will be returning to Indiana for a free concert at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on October 28th. This full-band show will also serve as the final stop of Sugarland's 2011 Incredible Machine Tour. Special guests will be announced at a later date.

It is Sugarland's intention to honor all previous ticketholders for the August 13th Indiana State Fair date at this newly-added show, regardless of refund status. Ticket distribution will start with a first-come, first-serve “presale” for previous ticketholders before the release of seats to the general public. The “presale” will begin Oct. 10th at 10 a.m. ET, and end Oct. 14th at midnight ET.

Fans who bought State Fair show tickets online or via telephone through Ticketmaster or the Indiana State Fair (ISF) will receive unique passwords via email or phone to redeem the same number of tickets they originally purchased. To visit the event page on Ticketmaster.com for this "presale," please click here.

Fans who participated in the Sugarpass fan club presale will receive an email with ticket redemption instructions for use here on Sugarlandmusic.com.

Original Sugarpit ticketholders will have first priority to choose Sugarpit for this show as well.

Previous ticketholders who do not receive an email or who purchased their tickets in person at the ISF box office or other outlet should contact Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 beginning Oct. 10th at 10 a.m. ET to request seats. Proof of original purchase in the form of a receipt is recommended.

Remaining seats for the Conseco Fieldhouse show will be released to the general public Saturday, October 15th at 10 a.m. ET on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets will be available free of cost and service fees via Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800 745 3000, and via the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office for as long as supplies last. Ticket limit is four (4) per household. To visit the event page on Ticketmaster, please click here.

Conseco Fieldhouse is the home of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Doors on the night of the performance will open at 6:30 p.m.; the show will begin at 7:30. Contributions to the Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund will be gratefully accepted throughout the night.

Didn't get to attend this concert. I know Sugarland brought healing and closure to those affected by the tragedy in August.

Like everyone else I'm so shocked that people would try to benefit from something that was supposed to help heal people..Words just can't even begin to describe how I feel about that..I so can't wait tho for Oct 28th 5 days And I will be there..Now for the special guest I'm hoping/thinking it might be Lady A..They were supposed to perform the week after and cancelled so wouldn't that be something(: But I guess we will find out soon enough!!!

Well put Susan... Those who are profiting off the sale of the tickets are taking away from what this concert is really about. We need to stay strong in our desire to keep this event a remembrance of those we lost and to support of those who are recuperating from their injuries. True Sugarfans will!!!!

I first just want to say THANKS again to J&K for returning to Indy and I know this is going to be a very fun and touching concert all in one...yes many tissues will be in hand ready for the emotional moments and I am sure there will be many of those! I am so excited for the concert though and am very happy they are doing this for us. Those of us at the ISF concert will forever remember a night that will forever change our life! I also have pictures to keep from that night (and tickets) to keep as a forever reminder as well of a night that to this day part of me still can't believe it really happened, seems so umbelieveable!! I do think of it every time I hear your music (great music) but that won't stop me from listening!!!!
I do have to say that those people that are selling tickets on ebay and ect. ...it would be a great thing for you to give some of your profits to the benefit of those that were hurt or families of those that were killed but I have a feeling you haven't even considered this! Hope this makes you think of the idea! Though I don't agree with that happening at all...especially since I have friends that can't go because they couldn't get tickets due to those getting so many and making a profit on them...that really really bothers me! SO ...PLEASE at least donate a portion of your profits to the REASON THEY ARE COMING BACK AND DOING THIS CONCERT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! I do know that Sugarland is NOT the reason the ticket disaster happened...it is the way it was handled by ticketmaster in the first place, please keep that in mind as well!
Looking forward to a great show and am happy we were able to get the two tickets we had at ISF replaced with two as well. Curious about the special guest as well....regardless...CAN'T WAIT AND SUGARLAND ....THANK YOU!!!!!!

I bought my tickets on this site originally and had no problem getting Sugarpit passes again. I think they should have offered tickets only to those that were at the original concert. Seems like the majority of people on here complaining weren't even at the first concert.

I would love to see Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban and Matt Nathanson and LBT and Sarah B. and Jake Owens and all the other American Idols who have toured with Sugarland these past few years. My focus is to get video out of whatever they open with, whenever they sing 'Love' and 'Stand Up', and however they close. going to be quite a night....

I think that it's time to start talking about who the special guests are going to be. I would love to see Kenny pop in for a special song or two. After all he does love Indy! Or how about Blake? He is free that night. This Show IS GOING TO BE HUGE! I do feel for those who have had issues but I feel that it is time to change the subject.
