Sugarland and Little Big Town cover Mumford & Sons' "Sigh No More": Watch it here!

Thu, Oct 14, 2010 at 6:35 AM

They've been performing it on the road for a few weeks, but now you can finally bring the sonic beauty of this encore performance into the comfort of your living room: Here's Sugarland and Little Big Town covering "Sigh No More" by British folk-rockers Mumford & Sons, with an added peek inside the rehearsals for the collaboration. Turns out you're not the only one who sings in the shower.

If you're not familiar with Mumford & Sons -- although you should be, with "Little Lion Man" all over radio these days -- the first line of their bio should tell you everything you need to know: "Since they formed in December 2007, the members of Mumford & Sons have shared a common purpose: to make music that matters, without taking themselves too seriously." How great is that?

Watch the rehearsals unfold, followed by the full performance of the song below. (You can also watch it on the Sugarland Video Channel, in our full-sized player.) Then c'mon back and talk about it in the comments. Are you digging the Mumford as much as we are? What do you think makes the collaboration between Sugarland and LBT so special? And what song would you like to hear this supergroup cover next?

Mumford and Sons is my absolute favorite band right now. I seriously listen to their album every single day. This cover is amazing. I had some serious goose bumps. I think I might have even cried a little! Great job, and what a great song to choose to cover.

i think a collaboration on something like "seasons of love" from rent, "home" by marc broussard, or maybe an old school favorite like S&G's "cecilia" or stevie wonder's "signed, sealed, delivered" or james taylor's "shower the people" or "shed a little light"

At the Sugarland shows, this one is always a crowd favorite, always a highlight of the night and simultaneously one of Kristian's most beloved moments on stage each and every show.
